RIN IS DEAD. TOTALLY DEAD.

RUMIKO TAKAHASHI IS UNPREDICTABLE and............ HEARTLESS!!

NO ONE EVER SAW THIS COMING. NO ONE!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY, NO ONE!!!

The person LEAST LIKELY to die would have been RIN (or maybe Naraku some might argue huh ;)). BUT TAKAHASHI REALLY KILLED HER OFF!!

WE NEVER SAW THAT COMING... i mean... seriously... who'd have thought she'd kill the one most innocent and the youngest and CUTEST and MOST LOVAVLE character in the entire series????

Some might hate Kagome, some might hate Kikyo, some might be neutral towards Sango, some might not like Shippou, some might hate Inuyasha's guts, some might not like Sesshoumaru's attitude but... c'mon... RIN???????????????

BUT OF ALL THE CHARACTERS......... TAKAHASHI KILLED HER!!!


sigh... My other thoughts on this chapter:

- So Rin cannot be revived anymore by Sesshoumaru.....

- Of course I thought the part Sesshoumaru dropped Tenseiga was so poignant... He actually gave up the sword for her... And this is in reference to chapter 468 where he tells Kohaku that his hands are meant only to wield a sword... So for the first time in his life, he dropped the sword to hold someone he cares about instead...

- Also referecing the same part in chapter 468... I thought it was also really poignant when Sesshoumaru picks up Tenseiga again to purify the dead.. He holds BOTH Rin and the sword... So i thought that's really significant, because, it's as if when he wield the sword together with a heart that cares for others and someone he loves, that's when he can truly uncover Tenseiga's true power.

- OF COURSE OF COURSE, the part I thought was like heart crunching (OK THE WHOLE FRIGGING CHAPTER WAS HEART CRUNCHING!!! I CRIED!!).... But the part I thought was really like "damnnnnnnn"...... was the part after Sesshoumaru drops the sword, and he's holding/hugging(??) Rin... and he thinks to himself "what's the point of strengthening the sword if it's in exchange for Rin's life?" .... I think that's just.... WOW.... For someone like SESSHOUMARU to think that.... it totally reflects how much Rin means to him....

FUCKING HELL WHAT A TERRIBLE FATHER TO MAKE HIS SON LOSE SOMETHING SO PRECIOUS TO HIM JUST TO TEACH SESSHOUMARU A LESSON OR TWO ABOUT HUMANITY!!!

C'MON!!!! IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO TAKE AWAY THE ONE THING THAT CHANGED HIS HEART!!! NOW HE HAS NO ONE LEFT TO MAKE HIM MORE...... HUMAN!!!!!

I really see no way for Rin to live now.... I mean seriously.. At least the previous chapters, it wasn't HOPELESS like this now... But seems so... there are no more cards to be dealt except 1....

1) Next chapter... they bury Rin.
2) Next chapter... they just skip Sesshoumaru's story and go back to Inuyasha&co... and the next time we see Sesshoumaru... he's a changed man with a kick ass sword but Rin will not be there and the loss will not be talked about... <-- Shittiest option
3)........ SOMEHOW... the ONLY WAY LEFT... is that Sesshoumaru's MOTHER might have a way to save Rin........ I DOUBT IT BUT THIS IS THE SENARIO I AM MOST HOPING FOR!!

In this chapter though, the way Sesshoumaru reacted to Rin's death... and also, the things he thought about (giving up tenseiga, not worth strengthening the sword at the cost of her life, his inability to save Rin in the end)... I think it goes to show that Rin was right about Sesshoumaru all along... That he is kind...

In my opinion, while she was still alive, Rin was the ONLY ONE who could see that Sesshoumaru has/can have a good heart... I think she was the one who knew his heart the best...

AND NOW SHE'S DEAD!!!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

PLEASE DON'T LET RIN BE REALLY DEAD!!!!!!!!

I actually feel really bad for my coworker. Even though sometimes he can be thick skinned and abit of annoying, in the end, he's a really good person at heart and would not do any harm to anyone intentionally. I feel really bad for him. Maybe even more so cause i was a bitch to him sometimes.
I mean he has his flaws but I think in his heart, he's a really good person. and I'm really sorry that because of his flaws sometimes, it's hard or people don't see the beauty that he posesses. I really feel sorry for him. I hope things get better for him...

I really like this song because I loved how Yume no Shima (literally Dream Island/Island of Dream) was symbolically used in this song...

I found out that Yume no Shima is actually an artificial island off Tokyo Bay that is made up entirely of GARBAGE.

I like how, the Island of Dreams that he seemingly longs for (perhaps his "dream world" or "paradise" (answering the Devil's question)) is actually in real life an island of garbage... And maybe he's trying to say that sometimes our dream place, is in reality, really, a illusionary place that's built upon trash...

i think that's so beautiful...

OK... so i bought their "Best Of" album yesterday cause i saw it in New York... And then I saw the last song on the Record "Inori".... Then at the bottom of the lyrics for the song I saw: "Words by The Book of Ecclesiastes."

AND I WAS LIKE HUH???? WHAT THE HECK?!

and I saw on the top that the music was actually that song TURN TURN TURN (you know that oldies song that goes "to everything, turn turn turn, there is a season turn turn turn"... it's based on the verses in the Bible from the book of Ecclesiastes)

You see these japanese characters printed on plastic stuff (if it's manufactured in japan or is an electrotic item, etc)... It's suppose to be the short form of the word "plastic"... Well Ryuutarou is (sorry to all the Ryuutarou fan girls) cute buttttt... abit hit or miss sometimes... he's not HYDE u know what i mean?! HYDE u can never go wrong!! even on bad hair days and shitty camera angles, HYDE still looks immaculately beautiful hahahahaha

Actually... of all the members, hehe, i like Akira alot! Like one of the fan pages wrote "I love Akira the best although of course, this is not to say that Ryuutarou does not have his lovable qualities" hehe..

ANYWAY... I like Akira in the band because he is DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNN FUNNY!!!! he's like the prankster in the band and DUDE, you can NEVER go wrong with THAT! The rest of the band (including Ryuutarou) looks like they are DAMN SHY... Apparenly, they ARE (although less so now)... EXCEPT for AKIRA of course!

I liked watching all those Akira clips on YouTube cause REALLY!!! he's really hilarious!!!!

AND, i think of all in the band, he's the most good looking one ;)

----- I love the part where after he cuts the pall bearers of the afterlife, Rin and Kohaku is released from the Hell Hound. Sesshoumaru goes to Rin and almost touches her face as if to hold her when she breathes... and you can see the relief on his face...

----- I love the part where Shesshoumaru orders Kohaku to take Rin and run when they are attacked, but Kohaku falls behind, Sesshoumaru flies to cradle them with his one arm to take them to safety... And then after that Sesshoumaru tells Kohaku "Don't make me waste time unnecesarily... This arm.. is only meant to hold a sword".. And there's actually a tinge of sadness/regret on Sesshoumaru's face when he says this.
I loved this part because, i felt that it was such a poignant illustration perhaps, of how Sesshoumaru feels about himself as well as the reason why he has never been affectionate towards Rin. Because in his own eyes he sees himself to be a demon that can only wield a sword to attack, but not to protect... Yet inside him, perhaps, he feels that he wants to protect Rin but knows his true nature...

----- OF COURSE!! The last part was REALLY touching but damn sad!!! It's when Kohaku tells Sesshoumaru, "Shesshoumaru-sama, Rin is not breathing..".. and SESSHOUMARU ACTUALLY reacts with SHOCK and looks striken!!!!! HE CARES ABOUT RIN YO!!!!!!

--- OK I TOTALLY DO NOT want them to kill Rin off just to make the point that Sesshoumaru has a kind heart. PLEASE! WE KNOW HE HAS A SOFT SPOT FOR RIN ARLEADY!!!

--- what i am hoping though is that, actually, MAYBE Sesshoumaru would give up his quest to power up Tensaiga to find a way out of the path to hell, so that Rin would be safe... That way, he would have chosen to protect life instead of seeking more power for himself.... Wouldn't that count as passing his father's test??

So... I've always wanted to get Akio something... u know like random gift to keep in touch with him... but i have not.... I've always wanted to get him those Abercrombie t-shirts he liked to buy when we went shopping in Northridge mall...

SOOO... about two weeks ago i went shopping for those T-shirts and I COULD NOT FIND IT!!!!!! So i went to this American Eagle store cause i couldn't find Abercrombie and AE design sucks... SUCKS betul!!!

Neways, so on Newbury St where i was there was an FCUK store right opposite AE... So i went there and U KNOW WHAT??? FCUK's T-Shirt designs are wayyyyyy nicer than AE...

NEWAYS! So I was gonan get him a T-Shirt but then i thought "he's gonna graduate soon... he won't be wearing T-Shirts anymore would he?".... SO I thought, "hmm.. he'll be working soon... so maybe I'll get him a work Shirt instead... and hopefully he can wear it to work in future... that'd be nice...."

SOOO That's what i got him... It's a blue long sleeved shirt.. with colar of course.. He likes blue color (I remembered)... uRm... Actually, the design is abit common... it's not like FCUK styled... It's blue with thin white vertical stripes... So kinda look like normal shirt... Cutting design also looks the normal.. nothing stylish... Budden, that's alright isn't it? And I also thought it might have been abit too.... bright.. It was baby blue colored... And i was thinking "hmmm all these conservative Japanese companies... Who knows! maybe any other color besides dark colors are banned!" So i suppose it was good this shirt didn't have any weird designs on it.... There was another cool working sytle shirt i saw that i really liked... but the pocket part, the cutting was abit weird to make this cool design... But I thought maybe he wouldn't be able to wear it to work at those conservative companies. WHO KNOWS.

But neways i got the blue one for Akio anyway... Nice, deshoo? I hope so...

NEWAYS... then after wrapping it up (to send it) and writing my card... I thought "waittttttttttttttttttt a second...... It might NOT be APPROPRIATE for me to actually buy him a shirt 'to wear when you start work'...." isn't it?
Well i mean... the thing is that, a) dis guy although we're close but he's still a Japanese guy, u know... He has even told me before not to touch him in public (it's inappropriate) b) i mean isn't stuff like buying clothings reserved for MOTHERSSSSS and girlfriends? so... hmmm...

So I asked Maya to make sure.......... at least she doesn't have problems with cultural differences with Akio... PLUS, she knew Akio too :)

Neways... So our conclusion was that i should email Akio to explain why i got him the gift... So i did just that: Congradulations on graduating and the new job.

Actually, i suppose i was worried about the whole thing was because... well, i came damn close to having Akio hate me before (YOU KNOW ME LA!!!!!)... So i was really scared of offending him again, you know? Though of course, I know he has a kind heart and he doesn't just hate anyone for no valid reason... But then again, i DO NOT understand guys! So i DO NOT wanna take a chance!!!! haha.


ANYWAYSSSS SO TODAYYYYY... Akio got the gift... AND HE LIKES IT! ^^ So i am happy... He says it fits him and he likes it! ^^ hehe... I am happy... So all that worry was for nothing.... :)

So why did i get the gift again? I HAVE NO IDEA... but i think very long time ago when i was 14, my brother taught me how to just do stuff for others without the need for occasion or reason to show that they are in our thoughts and we care about them... I guess, ever since i learnt that from my brother... I have always been like that...

ALTHOUGH, i admit... I always fail to show my care towards the people I should REALLY be caring for........ But please know in my heart of hearts... I care about all of you lots! :)


Anyway, THE POINT IS THAT... the whole situation would not have escalated into what it did IF DAMN BOSTON HAD AN ABERCROMBIE STORE! haha

randomly downloaded a song the other day while i was looking for konoyo no uta and i found this song... I Really liked it. This band Plastic Tree is cool... although i did feel that some, if not most, of their songs were really experimental and weird.... SO... i was REALLY surprised to find out today that they're actually a Visual Kei band. hmmm.... They just didn't sound like a visual kei band, u know? Sounded more like one of those cool rock bands..

I hope though this is what would happen. Since Tensaiga has always been a healing sword and everytime it became more powerful, it always reacted to a change in Sesshoumaru's heart. That everytime Tensaiga became more powerful, it was because Sesshoumaru felt something that is totally opposite of his nature: kindness.

SOOOOOOOOOOO what i am hoping is that, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, i hope maybe in order for Sesshoumaru to master the sword, the sacrifice he has to make is actually to sacrifice his life in order to save Rin and Kohaku.

THAT would make more sense and be more consistent with the nature of Tensaiga. I don't get why Sesshoumaru's dad would want to have something that is precious to Sesshoumaru to be killed in order for the sword to be strengthen? Is it so that through Rin's death Sesshoumaru will come to the realization that and admit to himself that he cares about something order than himself? That is the only reason I feel would make sense if they did kill Rin.

But still, it would be so cruel for his father to actually test Sesshoumaru that way and to take away the one HUMAN girl that actually made Sesshoumaru less cruel and thoughtless towards human beings. It's inconsistent to Sesshoumaru's father's nature if that was his intentions.

Otherwise, i REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that they will make Sesshoumaru come to a point where he decides to injure/sacrifice himself to save or protect Rin and Kohaku... Because in that sense he will finally be bestowed the powers of Tensaiga because now he knows how to use the Sword to protect life instead of just destroying it.

THAT is what i hope but...

KEKKAISHI ANIME!!!!!!

YAYYYYYYYYYY I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY KEKKASHI WILL BE ANIMATED AND RELEASED THIS OCTOBER!!! I really hope a fan sub group will pick the series up and sub it!! PLEASE!!!!!!

Actually, if you do not know this already, Kekkaishi is my favourite manga at the moment. In fact i made a whole WEBSITE for it, and i will be posting that link soon once i get it all tidied up. THe manga is AWESOME and kick ass!! hehehehe and i am happy they're animating it... BUTTTTTTTTT let's hope they don't screw up the animation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WELL... it's done by the same group that did Inuyasha, and they did a pretty good job adapting the manga to the anime, so lets hope it's the same for Kekkaishi!!! I can't hardly wait!!!!

I love Kekkaishi and get this!!! I've been buying all the japanese volumes and EVEN SHOUNEN SUNDAY!!!! just to know what happens in the story!!! i cant understand much but HELL!!! I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!! I feel like i MUST get shounen sunday every week just to know the latest chapter!! So.... I've found out that the two things that can get me out of bed and off my lazy ass to travel miles and miles to nowhereville, America, is either a BAND or...... MANGA!!!!


So last weekend, I took a 4-hour bus trip down to New York JUST to go check if Kinokuniya had Shounen Sunday for sale.. CAUSE I CANNOT EVEN WAIT FOR THE KEKKAISHI TAKOUBON TO BE RELEASED EVERY FEW MONTHS!!!!

Much to my delight, Kinokuniya New York had 4 copies there!!!!!! Well, unfortunately, they weren't all in series... it was just Vol 24, 26, 27 and 28. But I bought them anyway!!!

I was glad though that i got those issues cause Vol. 24 had the Tokine/Yoshimori reunion chapter that i wanted so much to read!!!!!!!!!!! AND THAT CHAPTER WAS AWESOME!!! SO SWEET!!! >_<

So, there i took a whole day's journey (really it takes like at least 5 1/2 to get from home to new york, then another 5 1/2 hours from new york to him) But i did it anyway!! just to go get manga at Kinokuniya!!!

THAT was the furthest I've ever gone just for 2 hour shopping!!!


Small Town, Anywhere, USA = Shit Town, USA!!!!

OKKKKKK.... so you know that time i went to was it Medford, MA for that TBS show??? Basically it was the first Massachusetts small town i've been to and it was shite there! Public transportation was non-existant, communter rail came ever 1 1/2 hours, and even TAXIS took 45 minutes to get to you after you've called them.

So today AGAIN, i was kinda reluctant to go to this really good selection Japanese bookstore. It was located in Waltham... Waltham, actually, it's not too far from Boston... Probably maybe 20 mins drive or maybe like 10 - 15 miles off boston. It was actually REALLY near (like ok, from Bukit Bintang to maybe Bukit Kiara not even that far).

BUTTTTTTT... it took me TWO hours to even get to the stupid city itself. FIRST today stupid subway on the orange line is disabled for upgrades. So had to take the shuttle bus. After the shuttle bus got us to the station, I had to take the green line to Copley instead because the stupid Orange line again wasn't running from Haymarket to Downtown Crossing, so i couldn't get to back bay.
I hate the green line trans too cause they are DAMN SHORT! and ALWAYS PACKED. hate it.

And get me, i left the house an HOUR ago, and i wasn't even IN TOWN yet! wtf!

Anyway, so took the packed like sardines train to Copley and had to walk from Copley to Back Bay. No biggie.

I actually wanted to turn around at that point, but i said, oh well, lets go anyway!

So took the commuter rail from Back Bay to Newtonville...

Got out of Newtownville and i actually found the intersection where i was suppose to take the bus. I went into dunkin donuts right there to enquire to see if the bus stopped there. It did.

When i got out of the store, DAMN! I saw a bus on the OTHER side of the road passing me by and i was like SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!

So i ran across the street but alas! it was too late! the bus had left!!!

So i waited there and i KNEW being a small town, the bus was gonna take forever to come again. But then again, i also noticed the bus was number 553... and I was suppose to take the 554 bus... but i thought i saw the sign on the bus that showed the destination i was going to... So i waited.

And then it started raining again.

Just then, 15 minutes later, I saw a bus coming down on THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD (where i had originally waited).. and i was like SHITTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!

and i saw the bus number indicating "554"

and i was DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!

so i ran across BACK to the OTHER side of the road but ALAS! I was too late AGAIN!!!

So i thought to myself "hmmmmm... maybe 553 is the number coming back from the destination and 554 is going towards the desination."

So i decided to just stick there by the side of the road i ORIGINALLY waited.

it was now 1:30... I left the house at 11:15 and i was still NOT EVEN HALFWAY through my journey.

THEN JUST THEN! 10 minutes later... LO AND BEHOLD... I saw BUS NUMBER 554 ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD!! and i was like WTF?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT AGAIN!!

And SUREEEEEEEEEEE ENOUGH!!!

I MISSED THE DAMN BUS CAUSE THE LIGHTS WERE GREEN AND I COULDN'T CROSS!! SO THE BUS SPED AWAY!

wtffffffffff

so... at that point i just stood there... And i thought i better asked someone for directions... I was also hoping that maybe the person i asked the directions from would be kind enough to actually give me a ride there instead! HA!

So anyway, so i asked a couple of fellas who were passing by, but they had no idea which direction Waltham was at either!! No luck at that!

JUST THEN.... i saw this guy walk pass me... And then i just recognized that he looked so familliar and i try to remember where i've seen him before and then LO AND BEHOLD! it occured to me, I actually saw him on the subway once a couple of weeks ago... It was actually weird, cause that day, I was gonna meet Elaine Teh at Allston TO BUY MY MANGA after work... But I couldn't leave work early cause Dragon was late coming back to the office.... But Shelley came instead but we also got held up cause a friend of hers actually showed up at the office unexpectedly and they ended up talkign till we missed the train... So Shelley offered to drive me to the last station on the greenline instead... and it was there on that train that day that i saw this guy cause he was standing next to me...

So i was like WELL WHAT DO YOU KNOW! who'd have thought a random stranger you saw on a train you never take and you actually happen to see the fella again!

So anyway... I waited for the damn bus and i didn't know what to do anymore...

Just then the guy walked pass me again, to get his food, so being Elaine, I asked him if he knew the directions to Waltham.

I was in luck! he actually stays in Watertown and waltham was just the city after that...

So he figured out for me which direction I should be taking the bus (THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD).... THen he actually offered me a ride to Watertown so he could leave me by Watertown square that had lots of busses there!

So yeah, what do you know! So i got the ride after all...

Anyway... in the end he dropped me off at the square which was cool cause i also saw the place where i was suppose to take the bus HOME... At the square, i gave up looking for the stupid bus and took a cab instead coz Watertown was closer too to Waltham, so it wouldn't cost too much for a cab.

So in the end, i DID get to buy the manga that i want hahahahaha.... THOUGH it wasn't the chapter i wanted but still!! at least i got the copies!!!

And then i took a cab back to the square and ended up taking a whole different bus back to Boston cause it seems that there's actually quite a few direct bus from Boston to Watertown!


So anyway, this i conclude that stupid Small Town, USA are Shit Town public transportation, USA... Not just Massachusetts i'm sure.. I bet you the West is even WAYYYYYYYYYY worse, cause all the town are so big and spread out there!! Like that one time i went to Temecula to see Hung but THAT IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT LONGGGGGGG AND MISADVENTURE STORY!!!!
